Fabric-over-Foam (FoF) Gaskets

Laird’s FoF gaskets consist of a flexible foam core covered with a conductive fabric.

  • Application: Sealing gaps in doors, covers, and electronic enclosures.
  • Advantage: Extremely low compression set and low closure force, protecting the mechanical structure while ensuring excellent electrical continuity.

Conductive Elastomers

Solutions by Laird combine silicone rubber with conductive metal particles (such as Silver, Aluminum, or Nickel).

EMI/Noise Filters

The product line of the Japanese company Okaya, including power line filters (AC/DC) and noise suppression capacitors.

  • Application: Protecting power inlets in medical devices, industrial equipment, and communication systems.
  • Advantage: Cleans Conducted Emissions and prevents voltage surges.

EMI Windows and Honeycomb Vents

Solutions that allow “openings” in the enclosure without compromising shielding integrity.

  • EMI Windows: Glass or Polycarbonate integrated with a conductive Mesh, allowing a clear view inside a shielded enclosure.
  • Honeycomb Vents: Ventilation panels that allow maximum airflow for system cooling while blocking RF waves (waveguide beyond cutoff principle).
